When the Brotish-born Marmont and his wife came to the States, they settled in Whitestone, Long Island.
Marmont died in London at the age of 94 in 1977. His wife outlived him by eight years, dying at the age of 100.
The famous Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles is located on the corners of Sunset Blvd and Marmont Lane. Marmont Lane was named after Percy.
