早年经历

Co-founder of the gay rights movement in Germany.

Caused much controversy when he appeared on the talk-show Explosiv - der heiße Stuhl (1989) and outed several German celebrities as gay (10 December 1991).

Has taught directing at the Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen in Potsdam, Germany since 1999.

His stage name honours the pink (German: "rosa") triangle, which gay prisoners had to wear on their jackets in the Nazi concentration camps and "Praunheim", a neighborhood in Frankfurt.

Son of Gertrud Mischwitzky.

Learned later on in his life that he was born as Holger Radtke and adopted by Gertrud Mischwitzky soon after. His quest for facts about his real mother are depicted in Meine Mütter - Spurensuche in Riga (2007).

He "discovered" Ingo J. Biermann.

He lives in Berlin with his life partner and assistant Oliver Sechting.
