Gareth Wigan was born on December 2, 1931 in London, England as Charles Gareth C Wigan. He was married to Patricia Newcomb, 佐治娅·布朗, Heather S. Germann and Jennifer Wright. He died on February 13, 2010 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
As an executive at 20th Century Fox, he saw an early screening of 星球大战 (1977) and liked the film so much that he told his family, "I want you to remember this day because I just had one of the greatest experiences in my life".
Graduated from Oxford University in 1952 with a B.A. Honours degree in English literature.
He began his career as an agent in the London office of MCA in the late 1950s. He eventually founded an agency with Richard Gregson, Gregson & Wigan, which was sold to EMI in 1970.
Vice chairman, Columbia TriStar Pictures for several years.
