He was born on 28 November 1990 in London. At the age of 4, he started his artistic career by playing the piano, taking a role in various theater plays during school years and singing at Izmir City Orchestra. Istanbul adventure of Edis Görgülü, who completed secondary education in Izmir Private Tevfik Fikret High School, started by getting into the Communication Faculty of Galatasaray University and simultaneously the Department of Music of the State Conservatory of Istanbul University. In addition to his musical studies, he continued his career life by starring in the series. When he was acting, he was discovered while singing for fun in the karaoke bar he went with his friends. The managerial studies that started with this discovery ensured make the music journey more robust and confident, and it was a great success with his debut single "Benim ol" in December 2014. Thanks to the singles "Olmamis mi" (2015), "Dudak" (2016) and "Çok Çok" (2017), they continued to be in the top of music lists and attracted everyone's attention. An artist who has been deemed as successful by the critics of music for his debut songs and dances was evaluated as the "new best comer wanted" and he was the most searched one on Google in Turkey during 2015 and 2017. He was deservedly awarded as Best Outstanding Artist, Best Song, Best Male Artist in many significant award ceremonies namely Golden Butterfly Award Ceremony, Kral Turkey Music Awards and GQ Men Of The Year. In March 2018, he released his first studio album "AN" on the market, and he achieved national sales success in the global music market making his mark amongst the top 100 artists selling the most. Edis Görgülü continues to convey his original music to great mass with great feelings and sincerity.
He began playing piano at age four. He graduated from Izmir Tevfik Fikret Highschool and studied music at Istanbul University State Conservatory.
He began co-starring with Ebru Ozkan on Hayatimin Rolü in 2012.
He was named Breakthrough Musician of the Year by Turkish GQ in 2015.
His full name is Edis Görgülü. His father worked for BBC Radio.
