简介：Dentist Petar and his wife Marija are struggling to maintain the cohesion of their community on the outskirts of their nation’s capital, which has been disrupted by the construction of a council building. A year and a half after a devastating earthquake ravaged the centre of the city, the local authorities use the building as temporary housing for people whose homes are still unsafe. A local strongman joins forces with the city’s mafia boss, and starts buying the displaced peoples’ destroyed flats at bargain-basement prices. After accepting the post of chair of the local council, Petar confronts them. Meanwhile, among the newly arrived in the municipality is Petar's old flame Dunja.
